Guide Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 16 September 2026
These terms apply to purchases of the SOSATHEMIDWIFE digital guide. They are here to make clear what you are purchasing, how access works and what happens if you change your mind.
1. About the guide
The SOSATHEMIDWIFE Guide is a digital resource created for internationally qualified nurses and midwives considering registration and/or relocation to Australia. It is specifically aimed at applicants from Stream A countries and covers areas such as registration, AHPRA/NMBA requirements, documentation, visas, vaccinations, employment and other practical considerations.
2. What you are purchasing
Your purchase gives you access to the digital SOSATHEMIDWIFE Guide for your personal use. It does not include personalised one-to-one support unless this is clearly stated as part of the product you have purchased.
3. Payment
Full payment is required at the time of purchase. Your order is confirmed once payment has been successfully received. Prices are shown in GBP (£) unless stated otherwise.
4. Delivery and access
After payment, you will receive access to the guide using the delivery method shown at checkout. Please check that the email address you provide is correct. If you have paid but cannot access the guide, email sosathemidwife@gmail.com and I will help resolve the issue.
5. Your 14-day cancellation right
If you purchase the guide online, you would normally have a statutory 14-day right to cancel. Because this is digital content, you can choose to receive it immediately. If you expressly request immediate access and acknowledge that doing so can end your statutory cancellation right once access/download begins, the 14-day cancellation right will no longer apply in the circumstances permitted by UK consumer law.
6. Immediate access to the guide
At checkout, you will be asked to confirm that you want immediate access to the digital guide. If you do not give this confirmation, access will be handled in accordance with the applicable cancellation rules.
7. Faulty or incorrectly supplied digital content
Nothing in these terms removes your statutory consumer rights. If the guide is faulty, does not match its description, or cannot be accessed as it should, please contact me so the issue can be looked into and an appropriate remedy can be provided where required by law.
8. Refunds
Where you have a statutory right to a refund, the refund will be handled in accordance with applicable law. If you requested immediate access to the guide and the download/access has begun, your statutory 14-day cancellation right may no longer apply as described above. Nothing in these terms is intended to remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Personal use
The guide is for your own personal use. Please do not share, forward, reproduce, upload, distribute or resell the guide or its access link. If someone else would like a copy, they should purchase their own.
10. Copyright
The content of the SOSATHEMIDWIFE Guide, including original written material, graphics, templates and other content, belongs to SOSATHEMIDWIFE unless stated otherwise. Buying the guide gives you permission to use it personally; it does not transfer copyright or ownership to you.
11. Keeping information up to date
I make every effort to keep the guide accurate when it is written or updated. Registration, immigration, employment and other requirements can change, so you should always check the relevant official Australian authority for the latest requirements before relying on information for an application or decision.
12. No guaranteed outcome
The guide is intended to help you understand the process and prepare for your journey. It does not guarantee AHPRA/NMBA registration, visa approval, employment, a particular salary or role, successful completion of an assessment or any other specific outcome. Your individual circumstances and current requirements will affect your own application.
13. Updates
Unless the product page specifically says otherwise, buying the guide does not automatically include future editions or updates. If updates are included with your purchase, this will be stated clearly at the time of purchase.
14. Contact
Questions about your purchase or problems accessing the guide can be sent to sosathemidwife@gmail.com. I will aim to respond as soon as reasonably possible.
15. Statutory rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer. If a term conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection law, the applicable law will take precedence.
Please keep your purchase confirmation and these terms for your records.
1-to-1 Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 10 April 2025
These Terms & Conditions apply to all 1-to-1 sessions booked with SOSATHEMIDWIFE (“we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Our services
We provide 1-to-1 guidance and discussion sessions, including:
- Moving to Australia Prep – 90 minutes – £75
- STMW to NQM – 90 minutes – £65
- General Chit Chat – 60 minutes – £50
The content and nature of each session are described on the booking page. Our sessions are intended to provide personal guidance, discussion, preparation and general information based on the information available to us.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, our sessions do not constitute legal, immigration, financial, medical or professional regulatory advice.
2. Booking and payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. Your appointment is only confirmed once payment has been successfully received.
Please carefully check your selected service, date, time, time zone and contact details before completing your booking. All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include any applicable charges unless otherwise stated.
3. Incorrect bookings
Customers are responsible for selecting the correct service, date and time when making a booking. If you realise that you have selected the wrong appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to correct or reschedule an incorrect booking, subject to availability. We cannot guarantee that an alternative appointment will be available. If an appointment cannot be changed, any refund or cancellation charge will be dealt with in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and your statutory consumer rights.
4. Cancellation and rescheduling by the customer
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.
More than 24 hours before your appointment
You may request to reschedule your appointment, subject to availability. Alternatively, you may be eligible for a full refund in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Less than 24 hours before your appointment
A late cancellation charge of 25% of the booking price may be retained. The remaining balance will be refunded where applicable.
For example: £75 → £18.75 | £65 → £16.25 | £50 → £12.50
These charges are subject to your statutory consumer rights and are intended to reflect the time reserved for your appointment.
5. Missed appointments and no-shows
If you do not attend your appointment and have not contacted us beforehand, the appointment may be treated as a no-show. A charge of up to 50% of the booking price may be retained, subject to your statutory consumer rights.
If you arrive late, the appointment will generally still end at the originally scheduled time. We are not normally able to extend the appointment because of a late arrival.
If you are unable to attend due to unexpected or serious circumstances, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible. We may consider the circumstances when deciding whether to waive or reduce a charge.
6. Statutory 14-day cancellation right
If you are a consumer entering into a contract with us online or otherwise at a distance, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason, subject to the applicable exceptions and requirements under UK consumer law. The cancellation period for a service contract generally begins the day after the contract is made.
7. Requests to begin the service during the 14-day period
If you request that your appointment takes place before the end of the 14-day cancellation period, you expressly request that we begin providing the service during that period. Where permitted by law, if you subsequently cancel, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service already provided. Once the service has been fully performed following your express request and acknowledgement, you may lose your statutory right to cancel.
8. Refunds
Where you are entitled to a refund, we will process it in accordance with applicable consumer law. Refunds will be made using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
9. Our right to cancel or reschedule
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an appointment where reasonably necessary, including because of illness, technical problems, emergencies or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If we cancel and cannot offer an alternative appointment that you agree to, you will be entitled to a refund in accordance with your statutory rights. We will not retain payment for a service that we have cancelled and have not provided, except where permitted by law.
10. Quality of our service
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill as required by applicable consumer law. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
11. Information provided during sessions
Information discussed during sessions is intended for general guidance and educational purposes. Where a session relates to immigration, registration, employment, professional regulation or other matters that may be subject to change, you should also check the relevant official authority or organisation for the most current requirements. We do not guarantee that a particular application, registration, employment outcome or immigration outcome will be successful.
12. Customer responsibility
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information relevant to their session and for making their own decisions based on the information provided. We are not responsible for outcomes resulting from inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information supplied by the customer.
13. Respectful conduct
We expect customers to communicate respectfully. We reserve the right to end a session where a customer’s behaviour is abusive, threatening, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate. Where we end a session due to serious misconduct, any refund will be considered in accordance with the circumstances and applicable consumer law.
14. Changes to these Terms & Conditions
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version applying to your booking will be the one in effect when you entered into the contract, unless a change is required by law or otherwise agreed with you.
15. Complaints
If you have a complaint about our service, please contact us at:
Email: sosathemidwife@gmail.com
We will review your complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable period.
16. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable to the relevant contract and do not affect any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
17. Statutory rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Where a provision of these Terms & Conditions conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection law, the applicable law will take precedence.
